These general terms and conditions contain the regulations regarding the use of the digital platform bloomup.org ("our platform"), managed by BloomUp bv, a private limited company under Belgian law ("we").
These general terms and conditions serve as a supplement to the specific terms and conditions agreed upon between users and BloomUp and between care providers and BloomUp. In case of conflict between such specific terms and conditions and the general terms and conditions, the specific terms and conditions shall prevail.
Definitions
For the application of these general terms and conditions, the following terms are defined:
- BloomUp: BloomUp bv, a private limited company under Belgian law, with enterprise number KBO 0762.681.997, established at Brain Embassy, Molenbergstraat 10 box 25, 2000 Antwerp.
- Platform: the digital platform bloomup.org and all associated subdomains (including learn.bloomup.org), applications and functionalities.
- User: any natural person who visits and/or uses the Platform to seek psychological assistance, purchases e-learnings or other digital content via the Platform.
- Care provider: a certified psychologist or psychotherapist who offers services to Users via the Platform.
- Module: a digital learning path concerning mental health offered via the Platform.
- Intro conversation: the first, free online conversation between a User and a Care provider that is facilitated via the Platform, with the purpose of mutual acquaintance and determining whether further collaboration is desirable.
- Consultation: a conversation between a User and a Care provider that is facilitated by the Platform.
- Partner: a company, organization or institution that has a business agreement with BloomUp for offering services to their employees or members.
- Personal data: all information concerning an identified or identifiable natural person as defined in the General Data Protection Regulation.
- Specific terms and conditions: specific terms that apply in addition to these general terms and conditions to certain aspects of the service or for certain user groups.
The BloomUp platform
Our platform is merely a technical intermediary (1) for connecting individuals seeking psychological assistance ("the user") with certified psychologists or psychotherapists ("the care provider") online, (2) for organizing a free first online intro conversation, (3) for organizing possible online follow-up consultations as agreed upon by the user and the care provider, and (4) offering e-learnings on mental health. Our platform itself does not provide psychological assistance; this is fully managed and determined by the independent care provider.
Agreement with the terms of use
Before being able to use the platform as a user or before being admitted to it as a care provider, these general terms and conditions are presented to both users and care providers. By using the platform, both users and care providers agree to the general and applicable specific terms and conditions and confirm that they will comply with them.
